The American Dental Association recommends that you brush your teeth with a fluoride tooth paste after every meal or at least twice a day. Brushing should be combined with flossing at least once a day. Flossing removes plaque from in between your teeth in the areas your tooth brush cannot reach. There are a number of flosses available. Try finding one that slips in between your teeth easily, but that is not so thin as to not make contact with your teeth.
You may also choose to follow brushing and flossing with an antiseptic mouthwash. Using a mouthwash is optional, but it can help maintain fresh breath and kill additional bacteria that brushing and flossing have missed.
