If you want to replace a missing tooth, you’re probably considering a dental implant. Dental implants are a great option for many people, but the only way to know if one will work for you is to visit our experienced implant dentist, Dr. Pamela Marzban. During your consultation, she can determine if a dental implant is a good way to replace your missing tooth.

A dental implant is one of the most effective, durable and longest lasting tooth replacements. The implant itself acts as a replacement for the tooth root, and is surgically inserted into the bone beneath your gums. A dental crown acts as the replacement for the visible portion of the tooth. Both the implant and crown are strong restorations that function like a normal tooth, and these restorations remain secure and comfortable because the implant fuses with your bone.

Dr. Marzban will also tell you about any other options for replacing your tooth, such as a dental bridge. A dental bridge is a good option for certain patients, but a dental implant has the advantages provided by replacing the tooth root. No other tooth replacement system does so, instead they replace only the upper, visible portion of the tooth. For this reason, many of our patients choose a dental implant.
